UCP of Berkshire County has been very busy helping to set-up our second annual Life without Limits┬ábenefit concert (featuring the US Stones) on June 10th…We are thrilled to have raised over $11,000 in corporate sponsorship this year to help support our cause…Much thanks to Greylock Federal Credit Union, Berkshire Bank, BBE, Health New England, McMahon and Vigeant, Appalachian Contractors, Interprint, Service Master, and Shriner’s Hospital for Children.

In other UCP news, ticket sales for our UCP raffle for the 55 inch LGTV have been outstanding with over 200 tickets sold to date. Drawing for the TV will be the night of the concert.

Our assistive technology department is happy to announce the hiring of Louise Norton, COTA as our new director. Louise has a number of years of experience in the field of occupational therapy and the use of assistive devices for persons with physical disabilities. She has been part of the UCP family for over 9 years. Her knowledge and compassion for the children and adults we support have been a tremendous help in the development of this growing department.

Finally, our programming is growing and we look forward to introducing two new services soon:

  1. New AT devices to help wheelchair users avoid pressure sores

  2. We welcome the Williamstown schools to our list of partners working with us to help students maximize their learning through AT.

More to come soon…
