Job Title: Director of Early Intervention
Department: Early Intervention/ Administration
Status: Salary/ Full Time
The Program Director is responsible for administrative oversight of the Northern Berkshire Early Intervention Program, including program planning for children birth to 6yrs of age, staff supervision, financial oversight, and oversight of building maintenance and cleanliness.
Master’s level degree preferred in one of the clinical disciplines represented on an early intervention team
Certification as an Early Intervention Specialist by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health or eligible to be certified within three years of employment in a MDPH certified Early Intervention Program
Within three years of date of hire, the Program Director must meet additional certification requirements for program administrators as outlined in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Operational Standards
Certification in CPR and First Aid, including a program that specifically addresses treatment of infants and toddlers
Must be able to meet the medical requirements included in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Operational Standards, including physical examinations, vaccinations and infectious disease testing
Experience in infant-toddler programming, preferably in an early intervention setting
Experience in program/staff supervision preferred
Demonstrated interest in professional growth and development
Valid driver’s license and availability of a private vehicle
